On June 18, 2015, Teri Digital Creation, a shareholder in the field of digital twin of Hanwei Technology, announced that it will officially open source its self-developed semantic entity model (SEM) data format to promote spatial semantic entity data management and sharing. SEM is a format for storing and exchanging spatial entity model data based on semantic description, defining the types and relationships of spatial entity objects, and also supporting the connection of unstructured existing data for spatial entity objects, such as artificial models, point cloud models, video files, etc.
